Hot Street Diesel 4x4 Trucks

The Hot Street Diesel 4x4 class has come a long way from its Run Whatcha Brung roots. Now it’s a dialed-in, rules-driven battleground where precision matters just as much as horsepower. These trucks are just as comfortable lighting up the drag strip as they are digging into the pulling track, packing serious diesel power under the hood.

Built around factory-produced compression ignition engines for 1-ton or smaller pickups, this class allows aftermarket programmers, air-to-air intercoolers, and open turbo combinations. Trucks tip the scales at a maximum of 8,100 pounds with driver, and front weight systems can’t extend beyond 60 inches from the centerline of the front axle. Fuel is limited to #1 or #2 diesel, with soy/biodiesel permitted. No nitrous, propane, or additional combustible aids are allowed—keeping the spotlight squarely on tuning, traction, and driver skill.

And once again, when the dust settled, it was Eddie Poore and the “Sleeper Ram” standing tall.

Making it three straight championships, Eddie continued to set the standard in 2025, proving this wasn’t just a hot streak — it’s a dynasty. With statement wins in Java, Farmville, and their hometown of Amelia, Virginia, Sleeper Ram delivered when it counted. Every hook carried the confidence of a seasoned champion, and the consistency throughout the season made it clear the crown wasn’t changing hands easily.

Going back-to-back-to-back in a class this competitive takes more than horsepower. It takes discipline, preparation, and a team that refuses to get complacent. Eddie and the Sleeper Ram crew brought that edge all year long, cementing their place at the top of the Hot Street Diesel ranks.

Three-peat. 2025 Hot Street Diesel Champions.

That’s not just dominance — that’s legacy.
