  We want to take this time to thank everyone who came out and supported the rain delayed SOUTHERN SHOWDOWN. We know the event had lost some of its prestige by being 3 weeks later than scheduled and not being a points event but It was a good turnout all the same. We want to thank all the sponsors who put up money to raise the purse in some of the classes, it was really appreciated.

   I want to say I'm sorry for a few things that went on this weekend at the pull that I will take them blame for myself and try to see that they wont happen again.

1- The track was not the usual DMP track and I take full blame for it myself, I did not get enuff water in it and it was too dry and hard! I take pride in making a good track and I missed the boat on this one.

2-We had a few trucks slip into classes that they should not have been in. This needs to stop. We offer the OPEN class at the end of the night so everyone can run in it and we pay back 10 places. 

3-6400 pullers. The lift body situation on the Southern Comfort truck will be addressed. 

4-Always remember safety first. We had a accident on the track Saturday that could have been much worse. Thank the good lord that it wasnt. We can never be too careful.
