  So are we gonna set a turbo size or something and another thing with the odl your not not gonna have the people the pull their street against a odl truck bc the simple fact that they wanna run against trucks that are similar to their trucks to still be able to place decent

  The advantage is the drop box you can dail your gearing of your truck in better. And yes Jevon It would take around a $110,000 to build a winning 3.0 truck maybe a little more.

  A nv4500 can be bought from profab that will do the same thing as far dialing in the gears though.
  
  I respectfully disagree on the cost of a 3.0. I don't doubt that it could be spent though.

  Honestly Jevon, I see what you're getting at. You're trying to get ahead of the curve. I just don't think enough people will get on board at this time. Looking at the separation of power in the class and limited breakage history (from what I know), I don't think it is feasible. People want to have a common platform to build on, even if the advantage of ODL is minute. I think if the platform (oem) is realistic and the same for everyone and there are turbo rules, a lot more people will be apt to come out and compete in the points class.

  If it is a rwb class then why is there even rules. To me rwb means anything goes. If the class isn't like that then you need to change the name of it. And yes I agree with the odl.

  all im saying is 1700hp a 3.0 charger and ODL aint gonna get you out in front of corey and weather or not anyone on here admits it i know thats what everyone is shooting for ... with that said weather temple leaves it alone like #5 post says or turns it to ODL ... ODL is gonna be a mistake right now i think we need to leave everything the way it is and focus more on a turbo limit and getting a few more trucks in the class...... i know ive been fighting issues all year with a new motor and new tuning wanna get my truck straight and i wanna come back and pull dragon next year and try to run every pull

  The ODL would save everyone money in the long run. That is not opinion, that is Fact!.  The best solution I think for the future is a good set of engine rules and a ODL. The ODL is NOT a performance advantage. If you take 2 trucks that are identical in horsepower and gearing.and one has ODL and one doesnt, the only advantage to the ODL truck is the reliability. This statement comes from nothing more than years and years of experience. These are some things that need to be considered for the years to come. I just don't see it being in the best interest of Dragon Motorsports to make changes this year.

  As defending champ I think the rules for 8050 should stay the same. If anything limiting the turbo size to help keep the competition closer.

  Guess we will be throwing at least one in the points this year, an i agree with John, I find it sad that a man that drives his truck daily an don't have the money to spend like some others do still has to compete against a 1200+ hp ride
