I will try to give a recap if you missed the pull at Orange. Weather. Nothing else to say. Was wondering if it would be a go for this weekend at all. Well, it cleared out and giving the track crew to work its magic on the wet conditions and they did so. I would not describe the track the best, but show me where one is. That is what makes a puller a puller. Knowing how to adjust to the conditions and have their vehicle work in that manner to rise to the top. It would be nice that we have the best track in the land every time but we just can't pick it up and move it. It is not only charge the battery and fill the fuel cell and pull onto the track. As I hear what one or two pullers complain about the conditions or the pull order I say, deal with it. We are better than that and pull up you big boy pants and give it the best you have and some did.

Being their 3 event at Orange and you have been there for the last three you will see that this group has continued to improve and will do so as time go on. To all of the Orange County Fair workers, I say Thank you for willingness to improve. See you in September.

Started the night in the 12,000 Altered Farm with 6 in the class. points leader Bill Balderson on the top spot of the evening. Alex Miller with a second. Bob or should I say Buck Chambers in third. Just going by what was on the registration form.

6400 Pro Street 4x4 having a less amount this evening. 10 in the class with a drop of about 5-6 trucks from the other events. But, that does not mean it was not a good class. Jerry Smith on the Ole Goat takes the win and makes the only full pull in the class. Having the middle hook in the class. Tommy Henley in the second spot 8 feet back. Bob Simmons in the third spot coming off of the top spot from Culpeper. This team has taken a rough piece of clay and slowly molding it into a winning piece. Need to watch them, I am.

9 tractors in the 7800 Light Pro Stock tractor class. Having 4 new pullers this season to come down from the North to leave with a first and second. Mark Smith on the 9600 Ford first and Cory Forrester on Matt's tractor in the second spot. Pushing his way to the third place and adding a touch of red was Steve Flint on the HeadCase. Points leader Adam Collier in the fourth spot and Jason Weikel rounding out the top five.

Leroy Booth having a double win weekend in the 6200 National 4x4 class. Winning on Friday night in Winchester and a win in Orange. Both Leroy and Paul are great to talk with. Puller or fan, just stop by the hauler and chat for a while. They are FULL of knowledge. R B Moler gets the second spot and new comer to the class, Shane Hanks on the GroundHog third. Another puller to watch for.

7 tractors in the 10,000 Super Pro Farm. It only seems right that the home town puller get the win and he did so. E L Harlow keeps the win streak alive to pull a 304.68. Derick Pence on the Recap This on the second spot at 304.17. Brad Gentry on his first hook of the season with a newer setup to be in the third spot. Adam Richie on Pop's Blue Ribbon fourth. Bill Catlett fifth, Todd Tanner sixth and Randall Young seventh.

I know the surrounding weather cost us some pullers and spectators at this event. The weather was bad all around us but we managed to get the event in. This is a nice facility and will only grow in the future. Thanks to the Orange County Fair Association for having us and we look forward to being back in September.
