Introduction. I did get a chance to clear up points related matters with those who stayed after the drivers meeting at Manassas. I did not get a chance to talk to everybody at Manassas. I am running points and have been for the past two years. I also put together the images on Facebook listing points. These are nice to help promote and root on pullers as we head down the final stretch.

Refresh your browser and Accessing Points. The single most basic suggestion is refreshing the browser. On your desktop, you can do this, by hitting the F5 key on your keyboard. On your mobile device, click the circle with an arrow on it. This works in your browser as well. If you have trouble getting to the points, let me know. We made a change earlier this year to make it easier to get to the points. Once you have arrived on any points page, you can navigate the results at the bottom of the results. This is an Excel spreadsheet and there are tabs for each class. If you still cant access points, let me know how you are trying to access them and we can help.

Points Inaccuracies. All matters about points should be directed toward me and I will run them up the chain, if council is needed. As soon as results are posted, points get assigned or shortly thereafter. If there are issues, call, text, or Facebook message me exactly what you are aware of. The more specific the better.

Results. For drivers who have driven other vehicles or drive multiple, we try to designate that on the results. We have missed a few here or there. Again, let us know and we will make it right. The results should be designated as such:

I want to extend a sincere
apology to all the pullers in the 10,000lb super pro farm class. I made a
honest mistake on a measurement taken several weeks ago and I don’t know how
else to put it other than I’m human and I do make mistakes .This is taken very
serious by myself and all of those involved. I’m glad it was pointed out to me
that I had made a mistake and was wrong on my measurement. I by no means meant
for this to cause any problems or issues in the class or among competitors. I
want to ensure everyone that I have checked all the tractors again and they are
now within the spec. of the rules. Again I would like to Apologize to everyone
involved and let you know I will strive to the highest level and make
sure I’m precise and from now on everything will be documented and there
will be a witness or some form of and there will be no discussion on my part to
anyone other than the owner of the vehicle the head official and the
organization group. I hope everyone involved can and will except my apology. I also
would like to take the time and Thank all the pullers that have taken the time
and money to change components that may have been in that gray area of the
rules you have my upmost respect and I want to say Thanks.

Isle of Wight having the fourth event in the 2016 season. Weather making an impact so far on each pull so far. I hope this is not a start of a long season of this. Its May so we should have better weather, WE hope.

I have to say that I was wrong in thinking the track was going to be a struggle to repair from a wet and cloudy past week. Having the right equipment on site makes it happen. Like a motor grader and a power rake. Without these two last night it would have been one long night. been there and done that.

The track crew did a wonderful job building a POWER track for the pullers. It showed who had it for sure.

Two points classes have their first hook of the season. The 10 Super Pro Farm and the 78 Light Pro Stock tractors.

In the 10 SPF having 5 in the class. It was the taking for the last puller in the class to watch the other pullers and adjust his tractor for the track conditions. Which I think he did after looking and the red weight on the front. Thurman Munford on the Mechanical Bull coming off the line with a so slight front end wheelie and caring it straight as an arrow to place him first with 3 feet to spare. E L Harlow placing second and a past puller Clayton Sweeney all the way from the fly over state to sit in the seat of Ole Grandmaw.

The other first hook was the 7800 LPS. Total of 6 in the class. Great showing of color in the class. Past champ Adam Collier started off with a run of 305 and change to drop his hook. A little line to line and brake action forced the hand and he was thinking first hook, what could happen, surely I can do better. Well, that is not always the case. His second run was to the left and more brake action placing him third. Ted Ingram, 2015 champ having a disappointing trouble in the transmission within feet off the line, being positive he said it is what it is. Parran Bean on the A-C All about that Allis came off the line and within the first 100 feet I was thinking he might have picked the wrong gear being to high and possible choking it out on the end of the run to have his D-21 pick up RPM's at that point and keep it up to the end. Cowman (Bill Rice) looked at me and said the same thing. What a recovery. I said it was the nitro kicking in. So it did to place him first with a run of 303.64. Look back to what Hook'n Ain't Easy turned down. Adam, if it makes any difference, I would have done the same thing.

9 power house Nationals on the hook. Kevin Schools comes out and laid down a pass of 325.80 with Just Rut'n. Peyton Davis on the Punisher to be last hook to just put less than a foot to claim the top spot in the class. It showed you needed the hi RPM to kept it moving.

Rebecca Brizendine on Footloose redeemed herself to place fifth over Will Davidson on Stealing Thunder after this January being second both nights at Williamson Dome.

Dragon Motorsports is offering its first ever Contingency Program for the 2016 season.We will pay $100 extra per win in all Dragon Motorsports classes throughout the season if the Competitor meets the following criteria:

1- Must run Cenpeco sticker on truck or tractor

2- Must be a Dragon Motorsports member

3- Must purchase a minimum of $500 of Cenpeco Racing Oil or other Cenpeco products through Dragon Motorsports by May 1st 2016.

4- Must have at least 8 vehicles in class to be eligible for $100 Contingency Money.

Puller Cards. This is a great way to get you your sponsors in the hands of your fans. An nice picture or two will go along way in keeping your sponsors happy and satisfied knowing there logos are out there with potential customers. These come out really nice. I will keep it with me so you can see it for yourself. $150 gets you 500 cards. $140 if you put my logo on there! You can split the 500 cards up however you like if you can't decide one WWP shot!

YouTube. Off the line this year, we have quadrupled (4x) our subscriber-ship to our YouTube channel. Needless to say it has serious pull. You need to bring this to your sponsors and suppliers who want to sponsor ASAP. Now is a great time to sponsor Dragon Motorsport classes. Pictures. I have heard from you. You want to buy pictures, but how do I do it? I will be redesigning my website to include the integration of photo sales made super easy and digital download. It will still allow the tagging and sharing you know and love from Facebook. It will just come with most gaudy and obtrusive watermarks known to man. I have also had complaints about license plates on pics. What do you think? Is it fare game? My stance is in the new era of non-offending anyone is, I would just as soon not post any pics or videos of a pulling vehicle with them on there.

I will be sending a packet out to promoters summing all this information up and giving you costs for services.

12,000 Altered Farm Class

We have decided to go ahead and offer the 12,000 Altered Farm Class to the promoters for the 2016 season. We will run it for points as well for this season. Will have rules posted by end of the week. The rules will be the same as our original Hot Farm Rules from years ago.

6400 Rule Changes

We had a very good meeting last night with our rule committee members of the 6400 PSFWD class last night. Not much was changed that should effect anyone. Why make a lot of major changes in a class that is so strong. The new rules are posted on the website and all changes are posted in RED.

I guess the main change is the allowance of the Q 16 (oxygenated fuel) We really had no way to police it and now we dont have to worry about who is and who is not running it.

And if someone wants to put a lift body on their truck. DO IT! All 5 in attendance had no problem with it as long is is done in a safe manner and will pass tech inspection.

New "8000 lb Pro Stock Diesel FWD Class"

We are announcing our new 8000 lb Pro Stock Diesel class. The rules will be posted shortly. I know it will be a "Open Driveline" class with a limit on the turbo of a 2.6 or a 3.0 smooth bore. Full rules should be up by the weekend. We will start with a $1500 purse structure.

The 8050 RWB class from the years past will be offered to promoters as a class, but it will not be for points and it will be called the "8050 RWB Street Diesel Class" No hanging weights will be allowed in this class. You will not have to be a member to run in this class.

2016 Membership Dues

Membership fee this year will be $125 if postmarked by February 15th 2016. After that they will be $150. We had no choice but to go up on the membership fee. As Dragon Motorsports continues to grow so do our administrative cost. Some of the complaints we have received over the past few years will be addressed with this added cost. We are planning on having a Tech Man at every event as well as having a more updated and maintained website. If anyone has any questions on this feel free to call me @ 804-443-1903. As always in the past, you must be a member to pull in any Dragon Motorsports Points class. I will have the membership form to fill out in a following post.
