Official Rules and Purse for National FWD Sportsman class

Rules

- All chassis rules that apply in the National Fwd class will be the same. ( NTPA rules )

Engine Limitations

- Must be a wedge head

- Valve angle on heads will be limited to nothing less than 12 degrees

- No "Twisted Wedge" or special canted valve heads will be allowed.

- Heads must be of the type that are readily available to the public. ( Can be bought from Jegs Summit ect.)

- No one off specialty heads allowed of any kind.

- Must be stock bore space of engine manf. 4.840- Chev / 4.900 Ford / 4.800 Chrysler

- Engine Block, Cylinder heads must be in the cast form. Steel or Aluminum. No Billet Blocks or heads

- Max Cam lift of .950 at the valve

- 650 Cubic inch limit with 1% allowance

4500 Economy Modified Rule Changes / Purse Increase

We have added a couple rule changes for the 4500 class for the 2018 season.

1- The class will now run at 5000 lbs

2- We have put the cubic inch limit at 440 cubic inch with 1% allowance

3- Heads will be limited to nothing less than 15 degree valve angle

4-Purse will be raised to $600 and pay back 7 places

6400 Pro Stock FWD Rule Change / Purse Increase

There is only one rule change in this class and we had talked about it last year. There is always someone coming to me throughout the season and telling me that someone has their hold down bolt loose at the top of the hitch. We are going with the same rule as the National FWD trucks have to put a end to all this .If you have a turnbuckle that goes to your rear you are fine. If you have a hitch that is pulling off the back of the chassis, it is a easy fix, Call me with any questions. The NTPA went to this rule a few years back for the same reason

1-Hitch adjusters must go down. Must have adjuster from the bottom to hold hitch secure from moving upward. No adjusters or hold downs that are above the hitch will be allowed.

2- Purse will be raised to $1750 for the 2018 season and pay back 12 places

I've been out of the game for a while now. Family, trying to grow BC Fabrication, and life in general is slowly making me realize I don't have the time for completing and campaigning a new truck.

All my remaining parts are going up for sale. I have an full width sqhd with a 6.20 chunk (I can narrow upon request), a couple of f106's, Full width FDS 75 6.20 with a detroit and TRB moly inner and outer equal length shaft with wing flange joints, drive flanges and flange cover plates. Housing still needs to be cut and axle assembled which I can do if needed. (All front axle parts are spoken for currently) scs reverser, used Triple disc Valair (excellent shape) with Cummins flexplate factory bell and billet adapter plate, 2 pitbulls on double bead lock reals. Bosch mild steel tube chassis kit has not been assembled yet both frame rails are tacked. Chassis is same as current Midnight Raider truck. I can build chassis if needed .

Also have a sand blaster I purchased from a hotrod shop that had been sitting. I have never used it so it will probably need a little work to bring it to life. Comes with a LARGE dust re-claimer. No shop vac stuff, this thing is big.

Sure I have some other stuff laying around as well. Just wanted to give the Dragon family first shot at these parts before they go on RJ and other social media. Ill give it a couple days and then start posting on other sites.

6200 open Street- small block trucks points class are allowed to run both classes

South Boston Shootout-we are running a king of hill Class that allows any Dragon member to enter their vehicle. Temple and I are still talking about what the rules will be and they will be posted soon to make it fair for any given member of a class. $40 to enter and will spilt the total pot Up as follows 1 40%, 2 30% and 3rd 30%.

Points Clarification

Points will only be given to members. We have had pullers that want to pay for a hook only. Pullers can receive money for placing but will not get points.

8000 Pro Stock Diesel : We will no longer let pullers pull their stock truck in this class. You will have to be a member and must meet the safety rules for that class.

Rain Out Pulls: If we start a pull and your class is not pulled due to weather conditions and your are registered and ready and you keep your registration money in the class you will receive 25 points. If you get your hook fee back you will not receive points. We leave it up to the promoter if they pay out the purse for the classes that have not pulled equally.

Points Awarded: If a puller breaks on the ground and is registered and is unable to make an attempt to pull the sled that puller will get 25 points. That puller will not receive purse money.

Puller must hook to the sled under its own power and makes an attempt to move the sled to receive last place points and money.

If there is a tie on distance pulled, we will take the two placing points and money and divide it equally.

DQ"s. If that puller is DQ for being out of bounds, loose a weight or over the speed limit while pulling, that puller will get last points and money. If there are more than one that is DQ in that class we will go by the final distance pulled for placing.
