5000LB V8 Modified Tractors

This is the way pulling used to be.  Get a tractor and swap out the motor for some Detroit steel.  Dragon Motorsports brings this class to pull beneath the lights on the biggest stages in Virginia.  Robert Ashley, English Motorsports, Wayne Spencer, Gary Coffey, Buddy Finn, Rocky Meadows, and Hugh Crittenden: These pullers are keeping good running tractors for good shows.

John Nicol, piloting his "Loose Change" Allis Chalmers for Dragon Motorsports, has had an extraordinary season in the V8 Modified tractor pulling class. His season was marked by 3 key wins at the Honky Tonk 300 in Millers Tavern, Farmville, and Orange, Virginia, out of 13 events. John's consistency was further highlighted by 6 second-place finishes and 3 third-place finishes, showing that "Loose Change" was a force to be reckoned with on the track. The collaboration between John and his motor man, Temple Brizendine, was pivotal in tuning the tractor to perfection, leading to this season's dominance.

This season will be remembered for its intense competition, especially in the V8 Modified class, which saw one of only two championships in Dragon Motorsports' 20-year history decided on the very last hook. John Nicol was in a fierce battle all year with Michael Alley and his "Unfinished Business" Farmall. Although Michael managed to edge John out in the final hook, it wasn't enough to overcome John's lead in points. This close race to the finish added an extra layer of excitement to the season, showcasing the high level of competition and sportsmanship within this class. Congratulations to John Nicol for clinching the championship, and to all the pullers for their contributions to what was truly a season for the ages.  John is your back to back to back champion in this class.
